If you’re a B2B or consumer direct marketer, we will consider writing and designing a promotion for you “on spec” under the right circumstances.

Contact us and tell us about your company and your product, and about the project you have in mind.

If we decide to proceed with your project, you will need to send us the following things:

Samples of your current control and the past two years’ promotions – both good and bad – with notes on the results of each, including how your current control is performing.

A sample of your product.

Your entire research package on the product.

The data card or other complete description of the list the promotion will be mailed against.

A completed project questionnaire.

Provided we think we can beat your current control, we’ll talk with you about moving ahead with the project and our prospective compensation:

We’ll discuss your project with you, and will arrive at a mutually agreed-upon prospective fee and royalty arrangement. If our promotion outperforms your control in a test, you pay us per the agreement. If it doesn’t, you owe us nothing, and we retain the right to reuse the work for another client.

Please don’t ask us to work on spec if you’ve never done direct response, or if this is the first time you’re selling a particular product by direct response. We’re in the business of improving response rates, not giving you a risk-free way to “test the waters.” We’ll be happy to give you an estimate for your project. You’ll find us reasonable to work with and surprisingly affordable.
